"The rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain," is how the lyrics go. At our house, the rain stays mainly in puddles in the front yard. It causes the senses to dull, the house to be quiet, and the eyes to close. Especially, on a sweet Sunday afternoon.
This brings me to the subject of naps. We all love them, we all need them, and we all take them. This afternoon was made for a nap. The rain tinkling on the windows, a cool breeze floating throughout the house and a bed with clean, soft linens. I told Jacob that I was lying down to take a quick nap. It totally made my afternoon when he decided that he needed to lay down with his mommy. What a super memory. He was soft, snuggly, and his sweet breath on my cheek was so wonderful. I thought I would be able to fall asleep quickly but the moments I was just holding him made my heart so happy. These times won't happen too much longer so I have to take them when I can.
Besides, tomorrow is Monday. Ugh.
