There are few things in this world that parents are very nervous about. One I have to address now. Girls.
With two teenage boys, it is a difficult task to keep their heads in school and other important things, without the beautiful teenage girls clouding their minds. For years I told the big boys that girls have cooties and that usually worked. Now, however, that is over. Even for my little Jacob.
Last Sunday, Jacob told me something very important in his life. He decided that he wasn't going to marry his "girlfriend", Casey. Casey is a sophmore in High School, and she had to tell Jacob that she had another boyfriend that morning. Jacob was so sad. But he understood that it wasn't going to work out. He said, "Mom, I can't marry Casey anymore. She has a boyfriend, and it's not me. Anyway, she's too old to be my girlfriend. I told her that I can still sit on her lap, and I will still give her kisses. But, that's all."
Should I be worried? I didn't even know about the engagement.
