Jacob is getting older, and for that matter, wiser. Well, I guess as any 7 year-old would be.
The other day he informed me that he didn't need to finish 2nd grade. He said, "Mom, I really need to move up to the third or even the fourth grade."
I asked why and without missing a beat, he said, "because I am way smarter than anyone in my class. They are just holding me back."
I told him that he needed to finish this grade and if the tests say that he needs to go to another grade, only then will I consider it. But until then, he'll just have to suffer.
He turned his back and under his breath, he muttered, "I hope I don't grow up to be a mom. She's out of control."
Well, at least I know he comes by it naturally...his dad's side.
